Live at Sweet Children

this is a recording of t'willigo (fizzy a. fell, benana sonjira, and myself) performing at Sweet Children's Fall Festival on November 7th, 2025.

in october of 2023, i saw cap'n jazz live. during the performance, tim kinsella said "i assume everyone here is in a band". i wasn't in a band. i took to my phone and immediately asked my friends if they wanted to play music together.

after an on & off year of playing with benana and fizzy, eventually we reached this opportunity where we could play our music in front of others. the energy of performing music with others has been pent up inside me since the pandemic. several of these songs are frankenstein amalgomations of tunes i've had swirling in my head for 5 years now.

these, however, are t'willigo songs. the energy and comradery of benana and fizzy have transformed songs like "love" (a song which has sat in my pocket for 3 years) into distinctly flavorful tunes of the present. "crystals" is a benana joint, and many lyrics in "cauldron/fire" are courtesy of fizzy.

i haven't been in a band in a very long time. consistently creating with others has forced me to release a lot of my control freak inhabitions. i've learned a lot and i'm very grateful to be a part of this project.
